ISIS Neurostimulator
- Patented Stimulator Technology: The ISIS Neurostimulator is US-patented with a German patent pending. It allows precise control of the stimulation pulse for artefact-free signal acquisition even in the most challenging intraoperative conditions.
- High Current Direct Nerve Stimulation: Supports monophasic, biphasic, and alternating pulse waveforms. Unique current control ensures safe, precise stimulation throughout the procedure.
- Standalone or Integrated Use: Can operate as a standalone stimulator or integrate seamlessly with the ISIS IOM system via the NeuroExplorer software package for complete neuromonitoring workflows.
- Artefact Suppression: Stimulation artefact suppression accentuates short-latency evoked potentials (e.g. corticobulbar MEPs). The ISIS Headbox amplifier modules double channels up to 16 with best-in-class signal quality.
NeuroExplorer 2026
- Optimised Signal Processing: NeuroExplorer 2019 sets new standards for signal quality through advanced processing algorithms. All procedures are fully documented automatically.
- New Software Modalities: Includes Spine (EMG monitoring for pedicle screw insertion), TOF (train-of-four muscle relaxation), Channel Select, Multi-channel Video, HL7-Ready, and pIOM (pelvic neuromonitoring).
- Customised Screen Layouts: Frameless view, column view, and colour-coded modalities give clinicians maximum flexibility in signal display. Information can be shown or hidden with a single click.
- GDPR-Compliant & HL7-Ready: Meets latest GDPR requirements. HL7 interface automatically synchronises patient data with the hospital network. Label printing for electrode identification included.
Why ISIS Xpert?
- Engineered for the Most Demanding Monitoring: Trusted by key opinion leaders and ISIN network members. Here is what sets the ISIS IOM system apart in the intraoperative neuromonitoring landscape.
- Modular Architecture: Flexibly combine ISIS Headboxes and ISIS Neurostimulators to meet exact procedure requirements. Start with 16 channels and scale up to 64 (128 inputs) without replacing the core system.
- Best Signal Quality: The patented stimulator design suppresses stimulation artefacts, accentuating short-latency evoked potentials. ISIS Headbox amplifiers deliver industry-leading signal fidelity.
- Ease of Use: 23.8″ touch screen, colour-coded electrode cables, legible labelling, and pre-installed measurement programs. NeuroExplorer 2019 sets new standards for intuitive clinical workflow.
- MER Upgrade for DBS: All ISIS IOM systems can be upgraded for microelectrode recording (MER) for deep brain stimulation surgeries, with a comprehensive hardware and software package including MicroDrive.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions from surgeons, neurophysiologists, and procurement teams.
What is the ISIS Xpert intraoperative neuromonitoring system?
The ISIS Xpert is a modular intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) system designed by inomed Medizintechnik GmbH. It supports multimodal IONM with 16 to 64 channels and is available in three variants: ISIS Xpert (compact trolley), ISIS Xpert plus (advanced suite), and ISIS Xpress (portable). It is distributed in India by VCSmed India Private Limited, Chennai.
What monitoring modalities does the ISIS Xpert support?
ISIS Xpert supports MEP (Motor Evoked Potentials), SEP (Somatosensory Evoked Potentials), EMG, AEP (Auditory Evoked Potentials), EEG, VEP (Visual Evoked Potentials), TOF (Train of Four muscle relaxation monitoring), pIOM (Pelvic Intraoperative Monitoring), Spine EMG (pedicle screw insertion), and MER (Microelectrode Recording for DBS) as an upgrade.
What is the difference between ISIS Xpert and ISIS Xpert plus?
ISIS Xpert is the compact, cost-effective trolley system with 1 accessory compartment. ISIS Xpert plus adds a height-adjustable monitor, 2 accessory compartments, built-in printer, and is designed for advanced neuromonitoring suites requiring maximum flexibility. Both share the same panel PC, touch screen, and software capabilities.
Can the ISIS Xpert be used for deep brain stimulation (DBS) Surgery?
Yes. All ISIS IOM systems support a MER (microelectrode recording) upgrade for deep brain stimulation procedures. The ISIS Headbox MER system provides a 5-channel amplifier, MicroDrive for electrode delivery, integrated constant current stimulator, and reusable leads and electrodes for both recording and test stimulation.
Where can I purchase the ISIS Xpert in India?
The ISIS Xpert is available in India through VCSmed India Private Limited, located at No. 5, Ariyalur Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai – 600060, Tamil Nadu. Visit www.vcsmedindia.com or contact the sales team for pricing, demonstrations, and configuration advice.
What software does the ISIS Xpert use?
