Real-Time Impedance Feedback
Purpose-built for sEEG thermocoagulation.
The two-channel RF device supports a large variety of instruments specifically for brain applications as well as for the most common pain applications, with monopolar and bipolar electrode support. The LG2-sEEG meets the exacting requirements in terms of safety, precision, and comfort.
1. sEEG Treatment
Connect certified sEEG electrodes to generate lesions via pre-implanted electrodes, in combination with the sEEG-Box, for drug-resistant, focal epilepsy.
2. Stereotactic Guided Brain Lesion
Precision brain lesioning using continuous, temperature- or power-controlled RF, suited to functional neurosurgery workflows.
3. Trigeminal Neuralgia & Further Pain Treatments
The LG2-sEEG is certified for both pain and brain applications, extending naturally into common pain-treatment procedures.
Relevant application fields
Pain Treatment
Persistent pain or chronic pain is extremely stressful for patients. It often triggers a series of secondary reactions such as muscle tension, shortening and hardening. The resulting relieving postures…
Functional Neurosurgery
Functional neurosurgery is a specialised branch of neurosurgery that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system that significantly impair…
An intuitive generator, engineered around the sEEG procedure.
The device gives a graphic, real-time display of output power and impedance during sEEG thermocoagulation with audio impedance feedback that lets the clinician orientate acoustically as impedance changes when passing through different brain structures, such as white and grey matter.
-
Specifically for sEEG Treatment
An intuitive touch interface across the family. The LG4 adds swipe-gesture parameter setting with no complex menus. -
Maximum User-Friendliness
Intuitive handling enables users to apply the generator quickly, safely, and independently in the OR. -
Audio Impedance
Real-time audio feedback of impedance changes as a tone at a specific level, making strong impedance changes easy to detect. -
Different Lesion Variants
A suitable lesion configuration for each RF procedure:
- Monopolar 1 channel
- Bipolar 1 channel
- Bipolar 1 channel sEEG via sEEG-Box

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from pain specialists, neurosurgeons, and procurement teams about LG2-sEEG RF Lesion Generator
What applications is the LG2-sEEG certified for?
The LG2-sEEG is certified for pain and brain applications, covering sEEG treatment, stereotactic guided brain lesion, trigeminal neuralgia, and further pain treatments.
What is audio impedance, and why does it matter?
Audio impedance communicates the current tissue impedance value to the user as a tone at a specific level, making it easier to detect strong impedance changes — for example, to orientate acoustically when passing through different brain structures such as white and grey matter.
What lesion variants does the LG2-sEEG support?
Three lesion variants are available: monopolar 1 channel, bipolar 1 channel, and bipolar 1 channel sEEG via the sEEG-Box.
Which sEEG electrode manufacturers are supported?
The sEEG-Box supports connection to sEEG electrodes from two manufacturers, using the dedicated connection cables: Art. No. 263020 for Dixi sEEG electrodes and Art. No. 263030 for Alcis sEEG electrodes.
What RF and stimulation modes does the LG2-sEEG offer?
Continuous thermal RF (standard temperature-controlled, stepwise temperature-controlled, or power-controlled) for brain applications; pulsed RF (voltage-controlled, pulse width-controlled, or temperature-controlled) mainly for pain treatment; and direct nerve stimulation (constant current or constant voltage control) for localising motor and sensory nerves.
